Etah: A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Etah district today alleged that some unidentified persons have uploaded an obscene video using her name on the Internet, with the intention to blackmail her.
According to police, the woman complained that some unidentified persons made an obscene video using her name and threatened her through mobile phone that they will upload it on the Internet if she fails to give money to them.
As she did not pay, the accused allegedly uploaded the video on the Internet, according to the complaint.
An FIR was yesterday registered in this regards at Bagwala police station here on the basis of the woman’s complaint.
Police said that the victim has provided two mobile numbers from which the accused had called.
They added, an investigation is underway in the matter and police are trying to trace the mobile numbers.
