Barsana: Sri Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP) held a free distribution programme camp for children’s from 40 local schools in and around the village of Barsana in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district today.

Near around 5200 children each received a casserole dish, steel bowl and a spoon from JKP Presidents, Sushri Dr Vishakha Tripathi, Sushri Dr Shyama Tripathi and Sushri Dr Krishna Tripathi. 300 teachers from these schools also received the same items plus one umbrella each.

Village Barsana is situated in the district of Mathura which is the birthplace of Shri Radha Rani. The inhabitants of Barsana lead simple yet devotional lives; local incomes are very low and poverty prevails most households.

Unable to afford even the most basic necessities, the families who live in this area suffer significantly. To aid relief to their hapless state, JKP took the initiative of holding distribution programmes in Barsana many years ago.

In addition, JKP also holds several distribution programmes throughout the year in other poverty-stricken areas of Uttar Pradesh. In the last one year, JKP has distributed free jackets, blankets, stationeries, etc to tens of thousands of poor and the underprivileged.

The most recent distribution was held on 09 March 2017 in which JKP distributed sturdy plastic chairs to around 11000 villagers at Bhakti Dham, Mangarh.
