New Delhi: Former Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Mahant Ram Vilas Vedanti today gave a controversial statement by claiming that it was at his order to Karsewaks to demolish disputed Babri Masjid structure in Ayodhya.

According to Vedanti statement, he said that Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi did not have any involvement in the destruction of the disputed structure.

He further said that Ashok Singhal and Mahant Avaidyantah were also party with hi in giving orders for the demolition. Instead of being a part of the group which gave orders for the demolition of the shrine, Advani and Joshi tried to stop the karsevaks from demolishing the structure, Vedanti said.
