Lucknow: The Bahujan Samaj Party on Sunday declared names of its 16 candidates for Lok Sabha elections in the state.
BSP on Sunday released its fourth list of 16 candidates to contest the Lok Sabha polls from Uttar Pradesh.
In a statement issued here, the BSP said that under the SP-BSP alliance, it has declared names of 16 candidates for Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.
From Gazipur, the BSP has fielded sitting MP Afzal Ansari against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Manoj Sinha, who is also the Minister of State for Railways.

The party has given the Sant Kabir Nagar ticket to MP Bhishma Shankar alias Kushal Tiwari , the son of former MLA Hari Shankar Tiwari.
The party has fielded Afzal Ansari, brother of jailed gangster Mukhtar Ansari from Ghazipur constituency.
Some of the other candidates announced by the BSP are:
Chandrabhadra Singh (Sultanpur), Ashok Kumar Tripathi (Pratapgarh), Ramshiromani Varma (Shrawasti), Aftab Alam (Domariyganj), Ramprasad Chaudhary (Basti), Atul Rai (Ghosi), T Ram (Machchlishahr-SC), and Rangnath Mishra (Bhadohi).
The BSP are contesting the general elections on 38 seats in alliance with the Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Lok Dal.
