Amroha: Hasin Jahan wife of Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami reached her husband’s house in Sahaspur Ali Nagar village late on Sunday night. When her in-laws asked her to leave, she locked herself and her child in a room who was later arrested by Amroha police.
Hasin Jahan, wife of Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, was arrested by Amroha police late night on April 29 after she barged into the pacer’s house where she was also involved in an argument with Shami’s mother.
As per reports, the police arrested Jahan under section 151 which says that the police can arrest a person without a warrant for 24 hours. Jahan entered Shami’s house with her daughter Bebo. She was then involved in an argument with her in-laws after which they called the police and informed that she had forcefully entered the house.
Jahan alleged that the police arrested her due to Shami’s fame. Not to forget, Jahan had accused Shami of sexual harassment as well as extra-marital affairs ahead of IPL 2018 after which the pacer was excluded from the annual contracts by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In a shocking development, Jahan had also posted several screenshots of Shami’s chat with other women, on her Facebook account.

Soon after, the police was called in and when the officials failed to control the situation, they took Hasin Jahan into custody.
Hasin Jahan said: “I have come to my husband’s house and I have every right to stay here. My in-laws are misbehaving with me and the police is supporting them. They should have arrested them but they are taking me to the police station.”
Mohammed Shami is at present engaged with the IPL. He is a member of the Kings XI Punjab.
In March, Mohammed Shami was charged under Section 498A (dowry harassment) and 354A (sexual harassment) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Kolkata Police, which submitted the charge-sheet against Indian fast bowler before the court of Alipore police.
Hasin Jahan had filed a petition with the Alipore court stating domestic violence and demanded Rs. 7 lakh per month from him to maintain the family. The court accepted her plea and Rs. 80,000 was allocated for her daughter.
