Waterlogging, traffic snarls, road cave-in Lucknow

Lucknow: As monsoon is extremely uncontrollable, the capital city recorded its heaviest rainfall on Thursday in last 13 years.  These heavy rains in the capital has left one- third of the city waterlogged. Total 121.6 mm rain was recorded at Met observatory at Amausi in 24 hours.

Water logging was faced by people in Gomtinagar, Indranagar, Ashiyana, Charbagh and Hazratganj.  Not only this in several areas the garbage was flowing on the waterlogged streets.

With these continuous heavy rains, the city has already crossed its monthly average for July which stands at 255.3 mm. The city has recorded 323 mm of rains till now, thereby exceeding its normal rainfall figure

Not only water logging but several other problems aroused because of heavy showers. The electricity pole fell down near KKC College. People are experiencing the ankle deep to knee deep water and that’s what making traffic slower.

The skies should clear up relatively on Friday for Lucknow, which has been lashed by heavy rain over the past few days.
