NEW DELHI: Days after Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of Jio Fiber or Jio GigaFiber broadband service from September 5, Reliance Jio has released details of its registration process. Bundled with a landline phone connection and TV set-top box, Jio Fiber plans will begin from 700 per month and go up to 10,000 for premium customers.
Jio has also announced a Jio Welcome Offer; under which all those who buy its annual plans will get an HD or 4K LED TV and a 4K set-top box for free. Landline connection will also be for free. Jio has also kept installation charges free during the initial rollout period. This will again tremble the market with its entry and Jiotv lining up, it may create a huge setback to network providing companies and manufacturers.
Users can now apply for Jio Fibre by registering with the Jio Broadband and avail the offers. So far, users could only apply for a Jio Fiber preview offer under which the broadband connection, with a speed ranging in between 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps, came for free and users were asked only to pay for a refundable security deposit of ₹2,500 for the router (ONT device).
You will need any of the two documents to get the connection: Aadhaar card or any other original valid proof of identification and proof of address like voter ID card, PAN card, passport, driving license, etc.
