Mumbai: Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has been nominated as the Most Inspiring Asian Woman for the People’s Choice Awards 2019.
According to media reports, the 26-year-old actor is the only Indian on the list. If she wins the award, she will be the second Indian to win a People’s Choice Award after another Bollywood actor, Priyanka Chopra. The Quantico star had won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Actress in a New TV Series in 2016.
The winner is being decided through an online poll which is open now. The poll will go on till October 18 and the results will be announced on November 10.
Alia Bhatt is up against the likes of South Korean actor Jung Yu-mi, Thai actor Praya Lundberg, Chinese actor Zhou Dongyu, South Korean singer-songwriter Lee Chae-rin (better known by her stage name CL), Thai model Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying, Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna and Indonesian actor Raline Shah.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Brahmastra which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead.
