Air India’s first flight to bring back the stranded Indian under the Vande Bharat Mission arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital from Singapore on Friday.
The aircraft arrived at the airport carrying 234 passengers at around 11.50 am. They were stranded abroad due to Indian covid-19. This is the first flight of Air India, operated under the Vande Bharat Mission. The flight took off from IGI Airport at around 11.20 pm on Thursday night.
Apart from Air India, Air India Express, a subsidiary of the national carrier, also operates flights under this clearance program undertaken by the government.
