Solo Nkweni, a 26-year-old cricketer who is undergoing treatment for his illness in Aberdeen, Scotland, shared the news with his fans on his official Twitter handle on social media.
Nkweni is the third cricketer found to have been infected with COVID-19. Before them Pakistan’s Zafar Sarfaraz and Scotland’s Majid Haq were found infected with the disease. Nkweni played for South Africa in 2012 under-19. Apart from this, he has also shown his jauhar in first class cricket.
Nkweni said, ‘Last year I suffered from Gullian Bere syndrome and have been struggling with it for the last 10 months. Right now I am only half over her. I have TB My liver and kidneys failed. And now I have been found infected with the corona virus.
