24 workers were killed and 36 injured in a gruesome road accident in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh. The injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The accident took place on the National Highway 2 of the Kotwali area. The truck hit a DCM full of laborers who stopped to drink tea here. They were all coming from Rajasthan and going to Bihar-Jharkhand.
After the incident, blood is scattered all around. They are being identified by the workers’ mobiles. According to the information, the incident took place at 3.30 am.
It was dark at the time of the incident, so there was a lot of difficulty in running the rescue operation. People from the surrounding helped with the administration and the injured were rushed to the hospital.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of what happened in Auraiya. He expressed condolences to the families of the workers who lost their lives in this accident.
Chief Minister Yogi has directed to provide all possible relief to the victims as well as to provide proper treatment to all the injured.
