After India, the US is also preparing to ban all Chinese apps including Tik Tok. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that we are definitely considering banning the Chinese app.
The US statement came 6 days after the action in India on the Chinese app. A Chinese app like Tik Tok has also exposed the threat to national security.
Earlier, the Indian government had banned 59 Chinese apps including Tik Tok. After this, Chinese companies are appealing to the government that they were not sharing the data of Indian users with the Chinese government.
Tik Tok CEO Kevin Mayer wrote to the Government of India, stating that the Chinese government has never sought users’ data.
The company is constantly clarifying that the data of Indian users is being saved in Singapore’s servers and the Chinese government has neither demanded data nor will the company ever fulfill this request.
