Richa Dubey, wife of gangster Vikas Dubey, who has been absconding since the Kanpur shootout, has also been declared most wanted. The police is searching for him, but nothing is found.
Police has questioned all her relatives but she has not gone there. Sources said that police had recovered his mobile phone during the search of the house, which revealed that his phone was connected to the CCTV installed in Dubey’s house.
A member of the police investigation team said, Richa kept an eye on the house and the activities there, apparently via phone. Perhaps he used a mobile to delete the footage.
Earlier, in 2017, even when Vikas Dubey was arrested by the STF, she had put footage on social media to save her husband as she felt that her husband would be confronted.
The police have already contacted all of Richa’s relatives and she is nowhere to be found. A local resident, on the condition of anonymity, said that Richa lived mostly in the city of Kanpur but kept an eye on the activities happening at home through her mobile phone.
