In five months 1,18,068 complaints have been registered on the Women’s Power Line 1090

Till May 31 this year, 39,344 complaints related to crime have been sent to the district police for further action.

Women Power Line (1090) has made serious efforts in the direction of prompt action on complaints of harassment of women and girls by telephone and various types of harassment.

Giving information, Additional Director General of Police, Women Power Line (1090) Neera Rawat said that in the year 2019, a total of 2,79,157 complaints were registered on 1090, out of which 1,97,750 complaints were related to phone bullying and cyber bullying. These complaints were resolved directly by 1090.

He said that out of the above complaints, 39,344 complaints related to crime have been sent to the district police for further action, so that strict action can be taken against the elements who harass women.

He informed that under the current power agent scheme, with the objective of serving women power line 1090 and empowering women in school and college students to be aware of incidents of molestation and harassment and to reach women power line 1090 and till now About 15,000 power agents have been created in the state.

Additional Director General of Police, Women Power Line Neera Rawat said that a total of 1,18,068 complaints have been lodged on Women Power Line 1090 for a total period of five months from January to May 31 this year. Has been done and the disposal of the balance is going on at a rapid pace.
