The Yogi government has constituted a committee to investigate the SIT on the Kanpur scandal.
Local police officers employees in Kanpur said that the entire Kanpur scandal would now be investigated.
Senior IAS officer Sanjay Bhusreddy from the governance level of the SIT committee will preside. Also, senior IPS officer Hariram Sharma, and Deputy Inspector General G Ravindra Gaur have been made members of this committee.
The committee has to submit its investigation report to the government by 31 July.
