A hospital in Dubai, setting a new example of humanity, waived the bill of Rs 1.52 crore of an Indian worker infected by Corona. 42-year-old Odala Rajesh was undergoing treatment at Dubai Hospital for 80 days.
During this period, the cost of treatment increased to more than Rs. 1.5 crore. Since Odala Rajesh was a laborer there, it was not possible for him to pay such a huge amount. In such a situation, the hospital administration generously forgave the entire expenditure incurred in his treatment.
Odala Rajesh was admitted to the hospital after coming to Corona positive, where he was admitted for 80 days. After treatment, he was paid a bill of Rs 1.52 crore (762555 dirhams), which was not his capacity to pay.
Gundelli Narasimha, President of Gulf Workers Protection Society in Dubai, who admitted Rajesh to that hospital, conveyed the matter to Valentin Sumanth Reddy at the Indian Consulate in Dubai.
Reddy and Ashok Kotecha of BAPS Swaminarayan Trust requested Consulate General of Indian Consulate Harjeet Singh to help the poor laborer.
Harjeet Singh wrote a letter to the management of Dubai Hospital, requesting the labor bill to be forgiven on humanitarian grounds. Showing great heart on this, the hospital management waived the entire bill.
