Corona continues to grow throughout the country. The number of people infected with this virus in the country has crossed 12 lakh 88 thousand of which 8,17,593 people have been cured.

However, 30,645 of these people have died. States are now forced to take drastic measures in view of the increasing proliferation of Corona.

Now those who violate the rule of not wearing masks in public places in Jharkhand can now face a fine of Rs 1 lakh and imprisonment up to 2 years under the Jharkhand Infectious Diseases Ordinance.

The state cabinet has approved this. Such a fine can be punishable by a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh and up to two years of imprisonment.

The ordinance will be introduced in the Legislative Assembly, after which a rule will be made regarding how much penalty is to be imposed in such an offense.

On Wednesday, 439 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jharkhand, while three more people died. The death toll in the state is 64.

There are 3,570 active cases. A total of 3,048 people have been discharged from hospitals so far.
