Madhulika Mishra, a student, is the daughter of a farmer and has to undergo heart surgery for valve replacement, but her family did not have the money for it.
After the matter was brought to light by social media users, the Chief Minister immediately took notice of it.
In a letter sent to his father Rakesh Chandra Mishra, the Chief Minister has said that as per the estimates given by Medanta Hospital, Rs 9.90 lakh is being sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund for the operation of Madhulika.
According to the official spokesperson, the girl hails from Machilgaon in Campierganj in Gorakhpur district. Along with sanctioning the amount for treatment, the Chief Minister also wished Madhulika to get well soon.
