Uttar Pradesh’s first data center park in Greater Noida is also going to be built after the country’s largest airport and the first aerotropolis. For this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given the green signal. The project will be set up by Hiranandani Group of Mumbai. An investment of 550-600 crores is being said in this data center park to be built on 20 acres of land. According to experts, after the completion of this project, IT companies working in UP and elsewhere will help in doing business.
Data center is a large group of computer servers connected to a park network. It is used by companies for storage, processing and distribution of large amounts of data. Philhawk companies do all the processing of their data abroad. On the other hand, according to experts, there are millions of consumers of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube etc. in UP. It is expensive and difficult to protect all these data. Apart from this, keeping the data of banking, retail trade, healthcare, travel, tourism and Aadhar card etc. is not less than a big challenge. Data park is important for all of this.
According to media reports, many more big companies had shown interest in investing in this data center. These include Rack Bank, Adani Group and Earth Company etc. Who has proposed an investment of Rs 10000 crore to the UP government. The Greater Noida Authority has also proposed land for this data park. It is being told that it has also been approved by CM Yogi. According to media reports, it is to be prepared by Hiranandani, a real estate developer in Mumbai. This company has also built such data centers in Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad earlier.
Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the initiative on the plan to build such data center parks across the country. Due to this, the UP government is formulating a policy in view of the wide scope in this sector. In this episode, it has been decided to build the first data center in Greater Noida. Under this, investors will also be given many types of discounts. Also, there are plans to provide power from two grids to the data center park. It is also proposed to promote solar energy in the development of data center parks as per the government policy. It is being told that after its preparation, the companies who keep their data safe abroad, will be trending towards this data center.
