Young batsman Ishan Kishan, had a dream start to his international career as in the 2nd T20I against England, he helped India clinch an emphatic seven-wicket win.
The young lad hit a 28-ball half-century in his first game playing for India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The 22-year wicket-keeper batsman from Jharkhand was handed his cap by the skipper Virat Kohli ahead of the game.
Chasing 165, India didn’t have a great start as KL Rahul departed for a duck. However, Kishan who had brought his IPL and domestic cricket form into the game took on the England bowlers from the outset.
He found an able ally in captain Virat Kohli as he kept milking boundaries and took a full toll of the fielding restrictions. Hitting five boundaries and four sixes, Kishan brought up his maiden half-century in just his first game.
He became the second Indian batsman after Ajinkya Rahane to score a fifty on his T20I debut. Kishan helped India score 94 runs in just 10 overs and break down the chase.
So this performance could mostly see him play again in the 3rd T20I. So ahead of the game, a look at the smasher’s off-field life, where we talk about his lady love Aditi Hundia.
