We know much about the upcoming iPhone lineup, thanks to the numerous leaks that have taken place so far. A particular upgrade that has been hinted at repeatedly is a bigger battery on the iPhone 13 series. A new report now reconfirms these expectations.
iPhone 13 series is going to feature more battery capacity than any of its predecessors. The move is aimed to resolve the one big pain point that has persisted over the years for all iPhone users.
Time and again, several efforts by Apple to come up with a solution have surfaced on the Internet. An earlier report suggested that the iPhone 13 series phones will be thicker than their iPhone 12 counterparts. The extra area within the devices will store larger batteries for added juice.
It now seems that the speculation was bang on. A new report by ZDNet mentions the exact figures by which the new batteries will be bigger, vis-a-vis the ones on the iPhone 12 series. It says that for the first time ever, the Pro Max model will feature a battery capacity of 4352mAh. This will be a good jump from the 3687mAh battery featured on the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
As for the other models, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 will likely feature a 3095mAh battery, up from the 2815mAh seen on their iPhone 12 counterparts. Even the iPhone Mini will be juiced up, from 2227mAh to 2406mAh.
The numbers only reflect the backup to be added on the iPhone 13 lineup by the increase in battery size. The other very important factor that will lead to a long-lasting battery is the optimisation made on the A15 processor. The processor is likely to optimise tasks to further increase battery life by around 20 per cent compared to the previous iterations.
This means that the iPhone 13 series will likely feature the best battery backup we have seen on an iPhone so far. The added capacity should also be able to negate the heightened power demands of the 120Hz ProMotion display, speculated to be seen on the iPhone 13 Pro models.
These are just some of the efforts that Apple has made recently to help iPhone users overcome the limited battery headache. The company recently launched the MagSafe charger that can be equipped with iPhones, providing them with extra charge wirelessly when needed.
It was recently reported that the company might opt for smaller components on its upcoming devices. This means Apple will have even more space to tinker around within the devices. It will likely add more battery to all of the models across its iPhone, iPad and Mac lineup.
