The first match of the ongoing Test series between India and England was drawn due to rain. Let us tell you that India had a golden chance to win, but due to rain, no ball was bowled on the last day of the match, due to which the match did not go in anyone’s favor. This match was very good for Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and he took 9 wickets while performing brilliantly. After the match, opener KL Rahul was asked a question about him, on which he was surprised. This match proved to be very good for Rahul as well and he scored the most runs for the team in the first innings.

Let us tell you that in the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand, Bumrah was not in rhythm at all. Apart from this, his performance in Australia tour and series against England at home was also not impressive. Asked after the match how he feels when Bumrah returns to form, Rahul expressed his surprise at the question. Rahul said in the post-match press conference, ‘Sir, I don’t know why you are saying that Bumrah has made a comeback. He has proved himself at all times, in every match, in every situation and he is our number one bowler. We are happy that he is still doing what he has been doing since the first Test.

Rahul, who had already talked about his batting two days ago, also praised the fast bowling attack which took 20 wickets in the match. Rahul said, ‘The kind of bowling we bowled in the first innings and the kind of discipline we showed while bowling first after losing the toss is a positive side. It was assumed that the team winning the toss would be in a position to win the toss and we bowled with utmost discipline. “The way Mohammed Shami and Bumrah started and Shardul (Thakur) and Mohammad Siraj continued, how they all worked together and bowled in the right places, that is fantastic. All the bowlers stuck to their plan and they got rewarded for it.
