Realising the vision of empowerment of the poorest, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to organize ‘Garib Kalyan Mela’ on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. On September 25, the ‘Garib Kalyan Mela’ will be organised in all 826 development blocks of Uttar Pradesh.
Determined to work for the welfare of poor and deprived people, the Chief Minister in a high-level meeting on Friday said “on September 25, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal would be celebrated in a grand manner in the state. He has shown us the path of ‘Antyodaya’ and his birth anniversary should be dedicated to the deprived sections of society as a tribute.”
During the mela, poor people will be given benefits from various government schemes. Various government departments will take part in the mela. Arogya Melas will be organized, where along with the health check-up of the people, those deprived of Ayushman cards will be connected to this facility of free treatment.
The benefit of welfare schemes like PM Awas Yojna and CM Awas Yojana, Old Age and Destitute Pension Scheme, Bal Sewa Yojna among others will be provided to the eligible people.
The Department of Agriculture and ODOP will also organize an exhibition under the same. Representatives of banks will also be present to help people in getting the benefits of various schemes of employment, self-employment including PM SVANidhi and MSMEs.
As per the instructions of the CM, public representatives will be also present at the mela including local MPs and MLAs. The preparations in view of the mega event have been already started.
