Gmail will get calling support through Google Meet, read more

Google is now bringing a new service of its own. Now calling facility can be available on Gmail too soon. This service will work through VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). Through this update, users will also be able to take advantage of voice and video calling on Gmail. This calling service will work through ‘Google Meet’.

Currently this feature is not launched on Google Meet but it will be included soon. With the introduction of this feature, users will not need to generate a meeting link first. They will be able to receive calls directly. “We intend to bring Meet Calling to all natural endpoints in the workspace, where you would initiate an ad-hoc call, including Chat, People Card and Spaces, but within the Gmail mobile app,” said Sanaj Ahari, Senior Director of Product Management. Will come first in one-to-one chat.
