Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today announced that now Mathura city will also be transformed into a grand pilgrimage city like Ayodhya and every festival will be celebrated in the same way as it is celebrated in Ayodhya.

CM Yogi Adityanath was today seen sitting among the saints in Vrindavan (Mathura), having lunch with them, considering himself fortunate and saying that Braj city Mathura will also be made a beautiful and utterly devout city like Ayodhya.

The Chief Minister said that till now in the history of independent India, Uttar Pradesh has been ruled by several parties, but not one Chief Minister had paid so much attention to the upliftment of Mathura, the land of Lord Krishna. When the people of Uttar Pradesh ordered the BJP to run the government, they not only built the temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya but also organised the grand Diwali celebrations and other festivals.

Yogi Adityanath was at Vrindavan in Mathura to inaugurate the Braj Mahotsav. Minister Shrikant Sharma, Chaudhary Laxminarayan, and Hindu saints welcomed Yogi by offering him saffron scarves as soon as he got off from the helicopter.

Inaugurating the Braj festival after having lunch with the saints, Chief Minister Yogi said, “I feel very fortunate to have the blessings of the learned saints of the country. In the future, Mathura will not just be a tourist city, but it will also be a city of devotees and saints. The celebrations of Braj Utsav in Mathura will be grand in the future also and in the coming times, the Uttar Pradesh government will give a far grander form to such events.”

Counting the achievements of his government and the central government, Yogi appealed to the people and saints to continue to give similar blessings in the times to come.

According to a senior Congress leader from Mathura, looking at this festival, it appears that Yogi Adityanath wants to bring saints and Krishna devotees into active politics like himself, while saints, Ram and Krishna devotees should stay away from politics.

Congress leader said, “Till now, the saints and Krishna devotees of Vrindavan-Mathura are keeping a distance from politics, and they should continue to do so. Whether Yogi Adityanath is a saint or a politician, the saints of Mathura also have to see it.”
