Xiaomi 12 is expected to be the next flagship smartphone from the smartphone brand. The Xiaomi 12 has been in the news for quite some time now. And fresh reports hint towards its arrival in December this year. The Xiaomi 12 is tipped to be powered by the all-new Snapdragon 898, which Qualcomm should announce in the coming weeks. However, the chipset is yet to be announced and may arrive during the Qualcomm Tech summit that begins on November 30.

Interestingly, Xiaomi 12 is rumoured to switch to a Samsung ISOCELL GN5 50-megapixel primary sensor over the 108-megapixel main camera on the Mi 11. In addition, the device may bring support for 100W charging as per a leak.

Other than that, Xiaomi 12 could get a curved 2K display with a 120Hz refresh. The device may be offered with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of onboard storage. The Xiaomi 12 could be one of the first phones to ship with the Snapdragon 898 chipset. Thus, it will be interesting to see what Xiaomi 12 brings to the table.

—The Xiaomi 12 is likely to succeed over Mi 11 soon. The smartphone is supposed to launch in China next month, but the global launch may take place later in January 2022. It is being assumed that Xiaomi 12 will arrive just after Qualcomm’s Tech summit. The summit is set to take place between November 30 and December 2, where the company may announce the next flagship Snapdragon 898 chipset.

–Like the Mi 11, its successor is expected to be powered by the flagship Qualcomm SoC. In this case, it will be the yet to be announced Snapdragon 898. The smartphone has also passed through EEC listing and BIS listings. The former listing reveals Mi 12 and Mi 12 Pro with model numbers 2201122G and 2201123G. While the latter lists a single Xiaomi 12 model with a 2201122G model number. Now, these listings indicate that global as well as the Indian launch of Xiaomi 12 are not too far away.

–Moving Ahead, Xiaomi 12 is tipped to feature a curved display with a centred selfie camera. The smartphone may feature a 2K resolution LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. As indicated before, the smartphone could ship with the Snapdragon 898 chipset. The chipset is supposed to be based on a 4nm manufacturing process and bring improvements in performance and efficiency. Xiaomi 12 may get up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of onboard storage.

–The Xiaomi 11 was equipped with a 108-megapixel camera system. So it is now to be seen what changes Xiaomi makes to improve the camera system on its upcoming flagship. If we go by the leaks, Xiaomi 12 will get a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN5 primary camera. Besides this, Xiaomi 12 is said to offer 100W charging.

–A few details of the Mi 12 Ultra have also been leaked. As per which, the smartphone will feature a larger zoom camera. The tipster says that the device will get a 1/1.5″ periscope camera with 5x optical zoom. While previous leaks hinted towards a 200-megapixel primary camera, it is now being said that the smartphone will be equipped with a 50-megapixel triple rear camera system. In addition to that, Xiaomi 12 Ultra is rumoured to feature an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The next Xiaomi flagship is tipped to arrive in China next month. While the global launch may take place in January 2022. The India launch should follow along with the global launch as the smartphone has been spotted on the BIS listing.

The price of Xiaomi 12 has not been leaked. However, we do know that Mi 11 starts at 3999 Yuan (roughly Rs 46,600) in China. Keeping that in mind, we can expect Xiaomi 12 to be priced under Rs 50,000 in the country.
