Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Meerut on January 2, 2022 to lay the foundation stone of a sports university in the Salwa village of Sardhana area.
After laying the foundation stone, beneficiaries of the centre’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, among others, are expected to be felicitated by PM Modi.
Meerut’s commissioner held meeting for PM Modi’s visit
Meerut Divisional Commissioner Surendra Singh chaired a meeting in which he discussed the necessary arrangements that are required to be made for the event with the police and district officials in attendance.
The commissioner gave directions regarding various aspects like the helipad, parking, alternate traffic arrangements, security cordoning and issuing of passes for the programme. Meerut District Magistrate K Balaji, Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhakar Chaudhary, among others were present at the meeting.
