The interiors of the 2022 BMW X3 have seen the most changes. The centre console from the 3-Series has been carried over here with the new BMW layout. The console is more heavily raked towards the driver while the centre tunnel around the gear selector also features a simplified bank of physical buttons. The driver’s display is the new 12.3-inch digital instrumentation in the M Sport trim while there is the 10.25-inch touchscreen with Wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay.
New finishes and upholstery have been added to both variants of the BMW X3 with the M Sport trim further adding sport seats, perforated upholstery, M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons and other M-specific interior trim bits. Notable features include a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, six ambient lighting themes, powered seats, a powered tailgate and a Harman Kardon audio system for the M Sport variant. Safety features include front side and curtain airbags, TPMS, ISOFIX child seat mounts, run-flat tyres, ESC and tractional. The M Sport trim gets a 360-degree camera instead of a single rear camera in the SportX Plus.
