1. Diet
Did you know? Pooping is related to the kind of food you eat. Yes, you heard it right! Eating spicy food or even a raw salad can make you take those frequent trips to the loo. Eating too much fibre can make one poop. Not only this, spicy food will lead to gut irritation. It will be essential for you to watch what you eat. Avoid these foods, if you have a pooping problem.
2. Food allergies and intolerances
This is commonly seen in many people. Being allergic or intolerant towards certain foods can lead to pooping after eating a meal. You will have to speak to an expert who will help you to tackle this problem. You may be allergic to fish, nuts, soy, or eggs and that can cause pooping. Try to get to know about your allergies.
3. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
This tends to speed up the movement of food via the colon after eating. Thus, there will be frequent pooping after eating.
4. Sugar malabsorption
“Yes, this can also be the reason behind pooping due after eating. Sugar malabsorption is an inability to digest sugars like fructose and sorbitol. Are you aware? Many foods like berries, beans, onions, and garlic can be poorly absorbed or digested making you poop. Sugar can also be problematic for those with IBS. So, you need to be careful,” says Dr Patankar.
5. Celiac disease
When one with this autoimmune disease consumes gluten which is a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye then the immune system causes damage to the small intestine. Thus, one may poop. Try to avoid such foods in your meal.
“Try to seek immediate medical attention, if this problem persists on a daily basis,” recommends Dr Patankar.
