The OnePlus Nord CE 2 has finally been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 23,999. It is a successor to the OnePlus Nord CE, which was launched back in June 2021. The new mid-range smartphone is a minor upgrade with a newer chipset and support for faster-charging speeds. You get a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, a triple rear camera setup, 65W fast charging, and a 4,500mAh battery with the latest 5G OnePlus phone.
OnePlus is boasting that the new version has a slimmer profile than its predecessor. The company is promising that users will get two years of major Android OS and three years of security updates. OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G: Price in India, sale date
The newly launched OnePlus Nord CE 5G comes with a starting price of Rs 23,999 in India. The mentioned price is for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. There is also an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, which is priced at Rs 24,999. The device will go on sale starting February 22 via Amazon, OnePlus.in, and other retail stores.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G: Specifications, features
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G ships with OxygenOS 11.3 out of the box. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. For your reference, its predecessor offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC. It has the same display that you got with last year’s model. The mid-range smartphone features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate.
The company is claiming that the bundled 65W charger can top up the phone’s battery by 75 per cent in about 15 minutes. It seems that OnePlus is still not ready to offer a 5,000mAH battery that you get on most mid-range phones these days. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G has a 4,500mAh battery. It is paired with the company’ proprietary Warp Charge 65T tech.
For photos and videos, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G sports three cameras at the back, which is similar to the original version. It houses a 64-megapixel primary sensor with support for Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). It is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. On the front is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 selfie camera with support for EIS. It comes with some photography features like Nightscape, Portrait, Panorama, Pro mode, and more.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS/ NaVIC, NFC, USB Type-C. It is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device even has a 3.5mm headphone jack, but lacks an alert slider, which you will find on premium OnePlus phones.
