The UP Board Exams 2022 commenced on March 24, 2022, and in the first shift, around 2.61 lakh candidates of high school and intermediate left the examination. In the second shift, around 1.57 lakh candidates left the examination.
Over 4.18 lakh candidates left the UP Board examination including both high school and intermediate school.
Both Class 10 and 12 students took their Hindi examinations on the first day.
A total of 23 students from both Classes 10 and 12 were caught cheating on the first day of UP Board exams. A total of 4 cases of cheating were filed in 4 districts.
The FIR has been lodged against two candidates of Ghazipur, two from Fatehpur, one from Gonda, and four from Prayagraj district.
UP Secondary Education Board identified 254 centres as ‘highly-sensitive’ and 861 centres as ‘sensitive’ in view of vulnerability for cheating.
To prevent mass cheating in the UP board exams, the government has set up a state-level ‘monitoring and control room’ for CCTV surveillance and to monitor voice recordings.
