Due to the rise of such incidents where TN school students were caught on video engaging in unlawful acts, Director General of Police (DGP), Sailendra Babu, released a video urging the students to not indulge in such activities.

A video of two students being brutally beaten up by a group of other students was recorded by a commuter on his phone camera. Their uniforms indicated that they were government school students, and commuters were shocked while watching the brawl unfold.

Such cases of students being involved in incidents of travelling on the footboard of buses, harassing teachers or engaging in fist fights have been increasing in Tamil Nadu.

An argument between college students at a bus stand in New Washermenpet in Chennai, escalated into a full-blown fist fight on Wednesday, April 27. Students were caught on camera rolling on the ground and assaulting each other. Police on patrol intervened, advised them and let them go with a warning.

As a result, the Director General of Police (DGP), Sailendra Babu, released a video urging the students to not indulge in such activities.
