Amid a slight uptick in Covid-19 cases, Ahmedabad recorded 11 new Covid-19 cases, taking the active caseload to 50.
According to the data from the state health department, Gujarat reported 19 new cases while 13 patients recovered from the infection during this period.
With this, the active cases stood at 99 in the state. Of the new cases, 11 cases were recorded in Ahmedabad, 5 in Vadodara and 1 each from Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad and Anand districts.
Meanwhile, the number of districts with zero active cases stood at 22 out of the 33 districts in the state.
COVID-19 VACCINATION
Over 1.23 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered in the state in the last 24 hours, including 12,370 precautionary doses and 71,784 second doses in the 12-14 years age group.
COVID-19 CASES IN INDIA
India reported 2,927 new Covid cases on Wednesday, taking the active count to 16,279. The daily positivity rate stood at 0.58 per cent.
A total of 5,05,065 Covid tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The number of Covid fatalities recorded over the last 24 hours was 32. Out of the total deaths, more than 70 per cent of the patients died due to comorbidities.
