New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) has announced its first cut-off list for the academic year 2017-18 for merit-based undergraduate courses, with many registering a drop in cut-offs across colleges.
The highest was 99.66 per cent for BSc (Hons) Electronics in SGTB Khalsa College.
In humanities stream, Khalsa again set the highest cut- off at 99 per cent for BA (Hons) Political Science, according to the list available on DU website.
While Miranda House’s cut-off for BA (Hons) Economics is 97.25 per cent, B Com (Hons) cut-off in both Ramjas College and Hansraj College is 97.5 per cent.
Last year, the highest cut-off was announced by Ramjas College at 99.25 per cent for BCom (Hons), 98.75 for BCom and 98.5 for Economics (Hons).
Eligible candidates are advised to complete their admission formalities in the colleges concerned within the stipulated time as notified on the website, a release issued by the varsity said.
Admission to 54,000 undergraduate seats of various DU colleges received over 2.5 lakh applications.
The second cut-off list is expected to be issued on July 1st.
SRCC releases first cut-off at 97.75 pc for the academic year 2017-18 for undergraduate courses:
Shri Ram College of Commerce today released its first cut-off for B Com Honours and B A Hons) Economics for the academic year 2017-18 with highest for both being 97.75 per cent for general category.
The cut-off will be on the basis of best of four subjects, according to Delhi University criteria.
For OBC category, it will be 95.25 per cent for B Com Honours and 95.75 per cent for B A (Hons) Economics, according to a list put out on the college website.
Candidates of SC category should have secured 92 per cent for B Com Honours while 95 per cent for B A (Hons) Economics, whereas for ST category, it is 88 per cent for B Com Honours and 92.25 per cent for B A (Hons) Economics.
The candidates who have secured more than 98.50 per cent in general category and 96 per cent in OBC category should apply tomorrow, while students of all other categories should apply between June 27 and 28.
Last year, SRCC announced its cut-off at 98.25 per cent for Economics Honours and 98 per cent for B Com Honours.
