Mumbai: On occasion of Varun Dhawan’s 32nd birthday, the official announcement for modern version of ‘Coolie no.1’ sequel in collaboration with his father David Dhawan and Vashu Bhagnani to kick off for shooting from next month onwards in Bangkok city and movie will hit theatres on May 1, 2020.
The gorgeous actress Sara Ali Khan who made her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath movie in year 2018, will be playing lead lady role opposite to Varun Dhawan.
The Idea of shooting abroad is to give a fresh vibe keeping basic scenes of ‘Coolie’ movie characters who caught between two girls remain the same whereas new changes in screenplay will be catchy and appeal today’s audience.

With first collaboration of Varun and Sara’s film is produced by Bhagnani and the Dhawans which will hit the cinema halls next year on May1, 2020 as Labour Day is celebrated on this day, the story also depicts about a Coolie and his profession.
After completing shooting part in capital city of Thai, the film star-cast will be followed by schedule in Goa.
Filmmaker David Dhawan directed the original movie which starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles.
With timeless comedy almost after 25 years David Dhawan and Vashu Bhagnani come back together.
Meanwhile, Varun is preparing for Street Dancer 3D opposite sweetest smile Shraddha Kapoor whereas Sara is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next which advertise as a sequel to romantic drama ‘Love Aaj Kal’ along with Kartik Aryan and Randeep Hooda in lead roles.
