Yogi Adityanath’s government in Uttar Pradesh has asked all districts to make arrangements to establish static centers for covid-19 trials in view of the increasing cases in the state.
These centers will be able to test suspects with the help of rapid antigen test kits.
Apart from this, these centers will also be able to collect samples for RT-PCR testing.
According to Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad, about 10-15 centers will be set up in each district.
District officials will decide to increase or decrease the number of centers.
Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, 2,308 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, with the total figure crossing 55 thousand.
This is the highest number of cases registered in a day so far.
Health officials said that the number of active infections in the state reached 20,829.
At the same time, 33,500 people have been discharged.
