Padma Shri recipient Kangana Ranaut is making headlines again by onboarding another film with a political background.
After completing the shoot of ‘Thalaivi’, the 34 year old actress will be portraying the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this upcoming political drama.
Though the title is yet to be decided, Kangana said this movie is not a biopic and has also revealed that many prominent actors will be taking a part in the upcoming project.
She is one of the Bollywood personality who have a high social media presence. The actress had always maintained that her films are a way of speaking her mind about political and social issues.
Kangana added that “the film is based on a book”, though she did not revealed the written work. This movie will be directed by Director Sai Kabir, who worked with Kangana earlier in ‘Revolver Rani.’ Not only will he do that but also he will write the story and screenplay.
The period film will be presented on a very big scale, and have actors portraying Sanjay Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, Morarji Desai, and Lal Bahadur Shashtri among other prominent figures.
