Lucknow: On the directions of district administration, UP Housing Board with the help of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will soon open the online registration process of the lighthouse project to be constructed at Awadh Vihar Yojna at Sultanpur Road.
District magistrate and acting vice chairman of LDA Abhishek Prakash had recently wrote a letter to senior officials of development authority to provide technical assistance to Housing Board. As per LDA officials, Abhishek Prakash has asked both LDA and Housing Board officials to use the same software which was used during the online registrations of 4,500 flats under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna. The letter also states to start the online registration process by end of March.
On January 1, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone for the lighthouse project via video conferencing. A total of six cities including Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot, Chennai, Ranchi and Agartala have been chosen for the implementation of project.
As per Housing Board officials, construction cost of each LIG flat will be around Rs 12.59 lakhs, of that Rs 4 lakh will be given by Union government and Rs 1.39 lakh by State government as subsidy. While, rest of the amount is to be paid by the beneficiary that too in instalments.
Houses being built under this project will take less time to complete and will be resilient, affordable and comfortable, and modern construction practices from countries like France, Germany and Canada will be put into use. A total of 1040 flats are proposed to be constructed at a cost of Rs 131 crores in Avadh Vihar Yojana measuring 415 sq ft area.
