Skoda Octavia’s new variant will start from Rs 26 lakhs

Vehicle manufacturer Skoda has launched the fourth generation of its popular sedan Octavia in India. The company has introduced this car in two variants, in which the price of the base variant of Octavia has been fixed at Rs. 25.99 lakh. Skoda Octavia has been launched in India for two years after its entry in the global markets in 2019.

The 2021 Skoda Octavia measures 4,689 mm in length, 1,469 mm in height and 2,003 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm and 17-inch alloy wheels. However, the design of the alloy wheel has been given different for both the variants. The new Octavia gets a grille in the redesigned front face, which now gets a chrome treatment for a more premium look. The grille has been equipped with bi-LED headlights. Along with this, a chrome strip connects the fog lamp casing, and the taillights are now made more attractive than before with new Skoda badging at the rear.

In the new Skoda Octavia, the company has used a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, this engine is capable of producing 188 bhp power and 320 Nm peak torque. At the same time, it is mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. To recall, Skoda has also introduced a new shift-by-wire gear option for the first time in the 2021 Octavia, which replaces the conventional gear lever for the DSG gearbox.
