Uttar Pradesh government has cleared more projects for development and beautification work of Ayodhya. The projects include expansion of inter-state bus terminal and construction of four lane road from airport to the temple at Ram Janambhoomi.

The state cabinet meeting chaired by Yogi Adityanath approved the proposal of providing land belonging to the culture department for the expansion of ISBT free of cost. As per the proposal mooted in the cabinet, a total of 9.0011 acres of land from the culture department at village Manjha Barhata will be handed over to the ISBT for free. The proposal said that the expansion of ISBT would help in running more bus services for the devotees coming to Ayodhya.

In another important decision, the Yogi cabinet relaxed norms for the construction of four-lane road at Ayodhya-Sultanpur road from the airport. The project of constructing this four-lane road would cost Rs 20.17 crore and the state cabinet has relaxed the passenger car per unit (PCU) norm for it. As per the norm, the PCU for four-lane road should be 18,000 while this road has less passenger road at present. The proposal said that in the coming days after the completion of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya there would be more traffic load on it and hence a four-lane road is needed.

The Yogi cabinet meeting also approved the proposal of entrusting the job of developing tourist places such as Ayodhya, Varanasi, Agra, Gorakhpur and Prayagraj to the development authorities of concerned regions.
