According to the news, OnePlus and Oppo will now work together. Both the Chinese companies come under BBK Electronics. But these companies work independently in every market. Let us tell you that about five months ago Oppo and OnePlus merged their research and development team. Now after this both the companies will work together in all matters.

OnePlus co-founders Pete Lau and Carl Pei previously worked together at Oppo. OnePlus CEO Lau took a second role as OPPO’s Chief Product Officer in May 2020. “Since then, we have integrated many of our teams with Oppo to better streamline our operations and capitalize on additional shared resources,” Lau wrote in his forum post. It has been decided to integrate the organization further with Oppo.”

Although OnePlus is now under Oppo’s umbrella, Lau said it will continue to operate independently. OnePlus will still have its own products and programs, and will continue to engage directly with customers. OnePlus released its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch, earlier this year, which received average reviews and the company promised several updates to improve the device. Having more resources to roll out those updates faster could be good news for many OnePlus Watch owners.
