Redmi Note 10T 5G launched in India: Read price and features

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 10T 5G in India and further expanded its already comprehensive Redmi Note 10 series. The smartphone was launched on Tuesday afternoon during an online event. This is the first 5G smartphone from the Redmi sub-brand and fifth in the Note 10 series which includes Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and Redmi Note 10S. The 5G connectivity is the biggest highlight of the Redmi Note 10T 5G but, it also packs a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, 90Hz refresh rate and MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.

Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in March but, all these phones only supported 4G network. The 5G support was reserved for the more premium Mi branded smartphones. The Note 10T 5G will help Xiaomi compete with the Realme 8 5G and Realme Narzo 30 5G.

Redmi Note 10T 5G price in India and offers

The Redmi Note 10T 5G price in India has been set at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage variant, and Rs 15,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant. The smartphone will go on sale starting July 26. The customers will be able to get a discount of Rs 1,000 using the HDFC Bank card. The phone comes in four colour options – Metallic Blue, Mint Green, Chromium White and Graphite Black.

Xiaomi is already selling the other Redmi Note 10 smartphones between Rs 12,000 and Rs 22,000 in India and the Note 10T 5G gives an additional option to those who want a 5G smartphone.

Redmi Note 10T 5G features and specifications

Redmi Note 10T 5G is essentially a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 5G which has already launched in the country as Poco M3 Pro 5G. However, the Poco smartphone comes with a completely different design language. The Redmi Note 10T 5G meanwhile features a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dot Display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 1100nits brightness.

The smartphone features a triple rear camera system which includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It has an 8-megapixel snapper on the front for selfies. The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner like most Xiaomi phones these days.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. The internal storage on the phone can be further expanded via a microSD card. The phone runs Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Xiaomi is shipping a 22.5W fast charger inside the box though.
