Breaking all records of single day vaccination, Uttar Pradesh becomes the first state in the country to give over 22 lakh doses in the last 24 hours. With this achievement, the state also becomes the first in the country to cross the mark of 5 crore doses.
The state had consistently been able to maintain its position on top in the country.
Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the leader in the COVID-19 vaccination drive by administering more than 5.09 crore vaccine doses.While Maharashtra lags behind with around 4.51 crore doses administered so far.
The state has delivered over 4,28,73,584 first doses while over 80,35,023 are fully vaccinated.
On the instructions of CM Yogi, a mega vaccination campaign was carried out in Uttar Pradesh on August 3. The state delivered over 23.94 lakh vaccine doses with the facility of on-spot registration for the general public.
Earlier on July 23, the state administered as many as 10,06,068 doses in a single day.
The mega vaccination drive was conducted at more than 12,000 sites in the state. Apart from online slot booking, workplace CVC had also been created.
Uttar Pradesh has been carrying out the Covid-19 vaccination drive extensively throughout the State with an aim to inoculate maximum people.The support provided by the Central Government has given a major boost to the vaccination drive which was already going at a rapid pace.
The State has implemented the cluster model of vaccination in all the 75 districts
In Lucknow, the mega vaccination campaign was run at 147 places targeting around one lakh people.
