Taking them ahead on the path of self-reliance, ten days prior to Rakshabandhan, the Prime Minister gives the biggest gift to women fraternity of Uttar Pradesh.
To increase the scope of entrepreneurship among women, a financial support of about Rs 476 crore out of revolving funds and Community Investment Fund (CIF) has been transferred to around 53,000 Women Self help groups in Uttar Pradesh under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM)
Aiming to alleviate rural poverty and create more sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural women, the Prime Minister disbursed a capitalisation fund 1,625 crore to more than 4 lakh SHGs of the country through online transfer.Out of which, the women self helf help groups in Uttar Pradesh receives an amount of Rs 476 crore in their account.
A total of 53,000 self help groups have been benefitted under the scheme.
“When a woman is empowered, not just a family is empowered but also the society and the country too develop,” the Prime Minister said.
With its commitment to encourage women entrepreneurs in the state by providing them various schemes to boost their enterprise, earlier on July 30, CM Yogi Adityanath distributed an amount of Rs 88.66 crore out of revolving funds and Community Investment Fund (CIF) to more than 42, 000 SHGs under the Uttar Pradesh Rural Livelihood Mission.
The CM disbursed a Revolving Fund of Rs 15,000 per group to around 40,000 SHG in the state through online transfer. Along with this, Community Investment Fund of Rs 1.10 lakh per group was provided to 2,606 groups in total.
Since 2017, the government has created over ten lakh self-help groups on priority, and more than One crore women are now earning their livelihood and are supporting their families. The Chief Minister has always appreciated the role of women self help groups in development of rural areas.
Despite the job crisis because of the pandemic, with the help of the state government’s Rural Livelihood Mission, the women SHGs have not only made a living for themselves but has also set an example by providing employment opportunities to other rural women and pushing them on the path of progress.
The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has worked in a planned and phased manner towards achievement of the goal of women empowerment through the effective implementation of its various women-centric schemes and policies at the grassroots level in the state, as a result of which a group of women from 80,000 villages have weaved several success stories.
Recently, CM Yogi took a major step in strengthening the rural economy and encouraging the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission. Under this mission, online transfer of funds was done to as many as 97663 self-help groups and their organisations.
This amount has directly benefited lakhs of women and their families associated with self-help groups of the state.
