Ensuring safety, dignity and self-reliance, the flagship programme of CM Yogi-led Uttar Pradesh Government, ‘Mission Shakti’ has set a new landmark in women’s empowerment. Assuring once again that the state government stands firmly to safeguard women’s rights, the third and entirely new phase of ‘Mission Shakti’ will be launched on August 21, 2021.
For the all-round development of women of the state, ‘Mission Shakti’ does not only focus on their security, education, self-reliance and dignity but also makes them self-reliant and self-independent.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be attending the inauguration of the ‘Mission Shakti’ in Lucknow. In this regard, a grand event will be organised in every district of Uttar Pradesh on the lines of the main function that will be held in Lucknow.
In a bid towards encouraging women, the Uttar Pradesh Government will be honouring women health workers, doctors, self-help groups, entrepreneurs and women belonging to voluntary organisations for their extraordinary achievements in the field of women empowerment, excellent work during COVID-19 pandemic and contribution towards the development of Uttar Pradesh.
As many as 75 women from every district will be honoured by the state government through which the ‘Mission Shakti’ campaign will be linked with the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. All the women who will be taking part in the event being held on the Raksha Bandhan eve will be given a pack of Rakhi and a mask as a gift from the Government.
Yogi Government Committed To Safety And Dignity Of Women
Earlier, Director, Women’s Welfare Department, Manoj Rai had stated that the Uttar Pradesh Government is committed to the safety, dignity and empowerment of women under which positive results of Mission Shakti have been seen.
Along with organising various campaigns and events on behalf of the department, work is being done to connect women and daughters with the various schemes of the government.
