China and Pakistan might face difficulties by supporting Taliban

China and Pakistan have been engaged in increasing contacts with the Taliban since the Taliban captured Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on August 15. Both are happy with America’s defeat after 20 years of war in Afghanistan, despite fears of a return of terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda and Islamic State. The Pakistan government, however, claims that it is not in favor of anyone in Afghanistan. But here the Pakistani government seems completely careless with the return of the Taliban.

On the other hand, concerns remain over the return of the Taliban. With its rise, terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda and Islamic State may again raise their heads. An article in Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post quoted some Pakistani analysts as saying that Pakistan has often said that it has no favorite ally in Afghanistan. But despite this, the Pakistani government seems comfortable with the withdrawal of the Taliban. Pakistan PM Imran Khan said that the Afghan people broke the shackles of slavery of the West, hours after the Taliban took control of Kabul.

The article said, Pakistan is particularly lobbying the international community, which is considered close to China and Russia, to establish collective diplomatic relations with the Taliban. He is seeking to garner support for the Taliban in Afghanistan on promises to ensure inclusive governance, prevent terrorist attacks, and allow women education and employment.
