Indian Cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is one of the most popular cricketers in the world and has a significant base worldwide. Many female fans are crazy for him and will go to any lengths to showcase their devotion to him.
It’s no surprise that even Mrunal Thakur is one of Kohli’s fans. In a recent interview with ETimes, Mrunal professed her passion and love for cricket. Not only this, but she also revealed that she was once madly in love with Virat Kohli. She expressed that she was also a sportsperson in her school days.
She said that she was very active and has played many sports till zonal level which includes basketball and football.
When she was asked about her passion for the sport, she said that used to be madly in love with Kohli. She said, “I recall donning a blue shirt and rooting for Team India. Cut to today, I am part of a cricket-based film like Jersey. It’s a lovely coincidence.”
Mrunal Thakur never shied away from expressing her feelings for cricket. When asked by a leading daily, years ago, who she would easily swoon over, her answer was none other than Kohli.
Mrunal will be next seen in her upcoming film Jersey, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, which was originally scheduled to release in August last year but the Covid-19 pandemic delayed the production. It is now slated to hit the theatres this Diwali on November 5.
Mrunal has a number of films in the pipeline. She will be seen in Umesh Shukla’s comedy Aankh Micholi, alongside actor Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, and Abhimanyu Dasani.
Earlier this week, Mrunal also announced in an Instagram post that she has joined the cast of the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Thadam. She will be seen playing a police officer in the film, which also stars actor Aditya Roy Kapur.
