The Assam government has decided to resume the physical classes for Class 10 in the state from September 20.
The decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting held on Thursday in Guwahati under the chairmanship of Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu said that the state government has directed all school authorities to arrange each section of class for a maximum of 30 students.
“Classes for Class 10 students in High Schools, High Madrasas, residential schools, day boarding schools (both government and private) will be reopened from September 20. Authorities of such schools will ensure that all employees and workers are fully vaccinated. Not more than 30 students are allowed in each section of the class,” Dr Ranoj Pegu said.
