Shocking! DM orders action against a principal for hanging school boy from first floor

The district magistrate of Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur has ordered a complaint to be filed against a private school principal after photos of him hanging a child upside down from the first floor of a building went viral on social media. The principal on Thursday, October 28, allegedly meted out the ‘punishment’ to the Class-2 child for being mischievous.

The incident was reported from Sadbhavna Shikshan Sansthan Junior High School Private School in Ahraura. On Thursday, the school’s principal, Manoj Vishwakarma, got angry with the Class-2 student, Sonu Yadav, for being naughty with other children while eating. In a fit of rage, he grabbed the child by one of his legs and hung him from the first-floor balcony of the school building to teach him a lesson in front of other students.

Vishwakarma pulled up the child only after he screamed and begged for forgiveness. The incident was captured on camera and uploaded on social media, following which District Magistrate Praveen Kumar Lakshkar took cognizance of the matter and ordered the basic education officer to immediately go to the spot and investigate. He also ordered a complaint to be filed against the principal.

Sonu’s father Ranjit Yadav said, “My son had only gone to eat gol gappa with the other kids and they were being a little naughty. For this, the principal meted out such a punishment.”
