Hyundai India has rejigged the variant line-up of the Hyundai Alcazar. The three-row SUV now gets more seating options in the top Signature(O) variant with a 7-seater option now being added for both petrol and diesel options.
These versions of the Hyundai Alcazar are priced at Rs 19.70 lakh for the petrol AT and Rs 19.85 lakh for the diesel AT. These prices are Rs 15,000 less than the 6-seater version. However, the top dual-tone variant will only continue as a 6-seater. Earlier this month, Hyundai had also discontinued the base 6-seater variant of the Hyundai Alcazar.
Hyundai Alcazar Signature(O) features
Notable features available on the top Hyundai Alcazar Signature(O) variant are front parking sensors, blacked-out ORVMs (DT only), blacked-out shark-fin antenna, roof rails and spoiler and front ventilated seats.
More feature carried over from the lower cariant are side and curtain airbags, a 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, height-adjustable front seatbelts, puddle lamps, 10.25-inch instrument cluster, Cognac brown leather upholstery, 8-way powered driver’s seat, Bose sound system, 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Hyundai Alcazar Signature trims are sold via Hyundai’s signature dealerships with trained staff for the Alcazar.
Hyundai Alcazar engine, specifications
The Hyundai Alcazar gets a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, unlike the 1.5-litre N/A and 1.4-litre turbo engines in the Creta.
This motor makes 169PS and 191 Nm. The diesel motor continues unchanged from the Creta, the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel putting out 115PS and 250 Nm. Both engines come paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque-converter automatic.
Hyundai Alcazar prices, rivals
Prices for the petrol variants of the Hyundai Alcazar start from Rs 16.30 lakh for the Prestige seven-seater petrol. This goes up to Rs 20.15 lakh for the Signature(O) six-seater dual tone diesel automatic. The Alcazar competes with the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700 and MG Hector Plus.
